Von Doren 1814 is not a wristwatch created for the masses. It is a time capsule and a mechanical collector’s piece, built with uncompromising dedication to traditional craftsmanship. With this pure Nordic Made project, we wanted to create more than a watch: a genuine piece of national history you can wear on your wrist.

Calibre Von Doren / JM36

Through the sapphire caseback, the mechanics reveal themselves. In an exclusive collaboration with independent Jurmo Watches in Finland, the movement is hand-built from the ground up according to our specifications.

The movement is rhodium-plated with beautiful straight graining and fitted with genuine flame-blued screws. As a subtle tribute to the Norwegian Constitution, the Eidsvoll oath, “Enige og tro til Dovre faller”, is micro-engraved directly onto the watch’s seconds
wheel. In this way, the eternal pledge from 1814 becomes part of the watch’s
mechanical heart.

Craftsmanship with historicalroots

Since the watch carries the name 1814, it was essential for us to carry the historical connection all the way through. That is why the final assembly, fine regulation and strict final quality control are carried out locally at Eidsvoll.

This work is performed by our long-standing service partner, 4th generation watchmaker Fredrik Sindsen. Having a watch named 1814 assembled by an Eidsvoll watchmaker with such traditions gives the project a foundation that feels both natural and right.

A unique collector’sexperience

The exclusive experience of 1814 extends far beyond the wrist. As a testament to the period the watch honours, each piece is accompanied by unique historical objects.

In addition to an original “Mor Norge 1814–1914” silver coin in excellent condition, each watch comes with a genuine royal decree from the 17th or 18th century. These are original documents more than 300 years old. No two are alike, making every complete watch set unique.

The presentation is also part of the whole: the watch, coin and document are delivered in a massive, bespoke box made from solid oak, handcrafted by local furniture makers at Løren in Oslo.

Secure your piece

Von Doren 1814 is produced exclusively to order, as a Made to Order timepiece. The meticulous hand assembly, fine regulation and preparation require uncompromising precision and true watchmaking craftsmanship. The expected delivery time is therefore 4–6 weeks.
